The challenge
Previous materials could not withstand three days of heavy foot traffic, extreme summer heat, prolonged sunlight and potential sandstorms, leading to annual replacement and recurring cost.

The engineered response
Vital worked with the client’s design engineers and developed custom 18 mm sandwich panels using isophthalic resin, ultraviolet inhibitors and a hard-wearing anti-slip surface.

Scale and delivery
The team fabricated 5,500 panels and managed design, production, delivery and installation within three months. The approved case study records an expected service life above 20 years under normal use and a 50% client cost saving.
